The first post

So this is the official blog of The BlackTails.

Being a musician ain't easy for a whole lot of reasons I won't bore you with. One thing though that is amazing about the life is the constant openess and need for inspiration. It's fuel. I am a sucker and find my inspired by the simplest things I run into in life. Nature, a grt tune, movie, speach, kids whatever.

All I know is when I feel inspired life is electric and when I don't, dim.

The tunes we cover and write in the band are inspired. each and every one of them. West coast swing to gypsy and latin jazz, grt spy themes, 60s rock, big bad swing and so on. the list goes on and on. go to youtube.com/theblacktails to check some of our live shows and while you're at it check out triplets from belleville as well. a very cool french film with a killer gypsy swing number... it inspired the hell out of me. asta
